SEPTEMBER

Beginning Quilting

Instructor: Becky Panariso


Learn the basics of quilting and make an attractive quilt. Becky will cover fabric selection, rotary cutting, machine piecing, quilting and binding.

  Cost: $50 + notebook ($15) and supplies
  Date: Thursdays, September 9, 16, 30
Time: 9:30-12:30 OR 6:00-9:00 p.m.
 
Mini Bow Tucks Purse

Instructor: Pam Etienne

A great purse which uses 3 fabrics and goes together in a snap. Lots of pockets! You'll want to make several for yourself and for gifts. You will likely almost finish the first one in class! You can make either size during the class. Come see the samples of both in the store.

  Cost: $25 plus pattern ($9.00) and supplies

Twister

Instructor: Nancy Piazza

Enjoy Making Continuous, Tessellating Pinwheels Using The "Twister" Tool. Use Charm Packs For 5" Squares Or Layer Cakes For 10" Squares (Or Cut Your Own). Come In And See The Sample - You'll Want To Make One Too!

  Cost: $20 Plus "Twister" Tool And Supplies

Pockets To Go

Instructor: Barbara Tuttoilmondo

Use this handy organizer next to your sewing machine, on your desk, or in the bathroom to keep everything at your fingertips. Great for holding art supplies for the little one in your life. Pop the long organizer into a purse or tote bag, and you're ready to go.

  Cost: $20 plus pattern and supplies
  Date: Wednesday, September 15, 5:30-8:30 , 6-9 p.m.
 
Six Halves Make A Whole

Instructor: Linda Pavol

Choose your favorite bundle of 6 half yard cuts and join linda to make a set of six placemats. Great for entertaining or to give as a gift. The book used for this class also has six (do you see a theme?) Other quilt patterns that you're sure to love.

  Cost: $25 plus book and supplies

OCTOBER

Orion's Star

Instructor: Becky Panariso

This lovely quilt is designed by eleanor burns, combining basic star blocks with the log-cabin look. A great beginning-plus project. Our autumn-look sample will catch your eye, but the design would be beautiful in your favorite colors.

  Cost: $40 plus book and supplies
  Date: Wednesdays, October 6 & 13, 6-9 p.m.

Clubs/BOMS

  1. BACK TO NATURE:  The perfect Colorado quilt!  The fabrics have pinecones and berries and will remind you of a forest.  Creams, greens, blues and reds are the dominant colors.  The quilt is entirely pieced – no appliqué.  Finished quilt size is 96” X 106”.  Monthly cost is $20.  Yearly fee is $240.00 less 10% ($24.00) = $216.00.

The LONG & THE MID OF IT Club
3rd Thursday of the month
1:00 p.m. at the store. Come and get great ideas for quilting on a mid-arm or long-arm machine!
Meeting: Thursday, September 16, 1 p.m. Bring all your "show and tell" projects that you've collected over the summer.

To register for classes:

  1. It’s easy! In-person or by phone, (719) 545-3320
  2. Classes are filled on a first-come, first served basis.
  3. Class fees are required at the time of registration to reserve your space in a class. If you wish to register by phone, please have your credit card ready.
  4. You must cancel 24 hours prior to a class to receive a refund.
  5. Most classes require a minimum of four students. Any class with less than four students one week prior to start date may be cancelled and a refund or store credit issued.
  6. No children or guests during classes. PLEASE honor this. Our classroom space is limited and we want our students to have a good experience.
  7. Normally projects are not finished in class. Enough knowledge and information will be received to complete them at home.
